Belzer in the Community: October 2024

Fall is here and we are loving the fall colors, brisk air, and vibrant sense of community. We had a great series of outdoors events this October to enjoy the weather and bring the community together. From clay shoots to a fall festival to a comedy show, this month was packed with activities. Let’s run through these fun events to see how Jeff Belzer’s was involved last month.

KCHK Fall Comedy Show 

We joined KCHK again for their fall comedy show this past month! After the spring show, we knew we had to come back to sponsor again, and it did not disappoint. Attendees enjoyed a comedic performance from Flip Schultz and Bower. There was also a duo comedy and magic act from Nathan “Tricky” Allen! One of our Belzer employees got pulled up on stage for part of the set, and it was impossible to keep a straight face. Thank you to KCHK for continuing to put on such a great event for the New Prague community. 

Northern Green Outdoors 

It was a beautiful day to be outside for the Northern Green Outdoors show. This event is put on by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association, which is a community of green industry professionals. They provide marketing, education, and networking tools to help individuals and businesses grow. Jeff Belzer’s is a member of MNLA as an allied industry and had a great time interacting with all the attendees at this show. Housing First Clay Shoot 

Jeff Belzer’s is also a member of Housing First Minnesota, who brings residential builders, developers, remodelers, and suppliers together. They are dedicated to advocating for housing and homeownership, and building safe, affordable homes. We sponsored their annual Sporting Clay Shoot again this year, and a couple members of our commercial team were out there to interact with Housing First members. 

MN Fraternal Order of Police Foundation Clay Shoot

Although it was a cold day, it was an honor to sponsor a station at the 2024 Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Foundation Clay Shoot! This organization has created an extensive community of law enforcement officers throughout the state and offers support in a variety of ways to those who protect us. Thank you to the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club for hosting, and to the MN FOP for being such gracious hosts. We absolutely loved being out there to support our local heroes! 

Christian Heritage Academy Fall Festival 

Lakeville’s Christian Heritage Academy held its annual Fall Festival this month, and we were happy to sponsor the pumpkins again in 2024. During this event, each student and a sibling gets to pick their own pumpkin to take home with them for Halloween! There are also several activities for the kids to participate in, as well as snacks and cider. What a perfect way to go into the weekend! 

Sheriff’s Youth Project Memorial Hunt

The Sheriff’s Youth Project of Le Sueur County is an organization dedicated to funding opportunities for youth that may not have otherwise had that opportunity. They partner with schools to provide after-school programs for youth to advance their potential, and also support community events like Shop with a Cop and Believe in the Magic of Christmas. In October, with a partnership with Traxler’s Hunting Preserve, they put on the 21st Annual Patrick W. Smith, Sr. Memorial Hunt! Jeff Belzer’s is a proud sponsor of this every year, and we look forward to continuing to support this great organization. The day of the hunt had unseasonably warm weather, and our employees had a wonderful time out there!
